Wayne Dalton, a leading manufacturer of residential and commercial dock and door solutions, has significantly expanded its DaltonDock™ equipment line to better serve the industry with enhanced Mechanical Pit Leveler options. With expanded dimensions and increased weight capacities, these levelers are designed to service the majority of the industry, reinforcing Wayne Dalton’s commitment to being a comprehensive dock and door solution provider.
The new M78WD levelers are available in 7’ wide and 8’ long sizes, with weight capacities of 30K, 35K, 40K and 45K. The existing M68WD levelers, sized 6’ feet wide and 8’ long, now include weight capacities of 30K and 40K, in addition to the existing 35K and 45K options. Additionally, options for 18” and 20” lips are available on both models, providing further flexibility to meet diverse loading dock needs.

Now available to a broader range of markets, DaltonDock™ Mechanical Pit Levelers are packed with features that set them apart in the industry. One of these standout features is the extended 24-month warranty, available when purchased and installed with a Wayne Dalton door.
Engineered for unmatched durability and reliability, this latest innovation provides a full width supported deck hinge, ensuring stability by preventing deck caving and potential hazards. The heavy-duty lug-style lip hinge construction sheds debris effortlessly and allows for easy lubrication, complete with a serviceable lip and hinge pin. Adding to its durability, the proprietary powder coat finish is specially formulated to cure with a textured surface, providing improved traction, especially in wet conditions. This environmentally friendly finish also boasts fewer volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and solvents than traditional wet paint, making it a safer choice for the environment.
Designed with ease of use in mind, the levelers feature optimized geometry for easy chain pulling. Adjustable lip keepers allow for easy accommodation of off-spec pits and extended lips, significantly reducing installation time. Lifting loops also enhance operational efficiency, facilitating easy loading, unloading and placement into pits.
Installation is further simplified with pre-cut weld locations, eliminating the need for marking and measuring. These precise weld spots create strong fillet welds, reducing the risk of broken pit welds, which are common repairs. Additionally, the topside height adjusters enable docks to be leveled with the building floor quickly and safely, removing the need for shimming or welding in the rear of the pit. This not only speeds up installation but also enhances installer safety and comfort. Most of all, the installer is never under the leveler and stays safe outside the pit.
