Dallas Business Journal Recognizes Presidium’s Chief Operating Officer on Prestigious 40 under 40 List

Lindsay Colbert named a rising star in the Dallas-Fort Worth business community and beyond

Presidium’s Chief Operating Officer Lindsay Colbert has been selected as one of Dallas Business Journal’s 2021 40 Under 40 honorees, an esteemed award given to North Texas business professionals who go above and beyond in their roles and are making valuable contributions to their respective organizations. Colbert’s recent accomplishments made her a standout candidate in a pool of four hundred other young corporate executives, entrepreneurs and business leaders for making a difference in the community while also excelling in the workplace.
“Throughout her short but impactful career with Presidium, Lindsay has played a monumental role in shaping Presidium’s reputation. Lindsay embodies what Presidium represents through her innovative leadership and empowerment of her team members, investors and community alike,” said John Griggs, Co-CEO and Co-Founder of Presidium.

After managing her first construction project when beginning her career with Presidium, Colbert rose through the ranks from Construction Project Manager to a C-suite title in just three and a half short years. Since then, Colbert has worked tirelessly to bring best-in-class personnel and processes to the company. Her exceptional organization and attention to detail has led to a highly successful renovation program that has completed over $100 million in property improvements. The net result of the choreographed management and construction programs Colbert has put in place has yielded over a 30% internal rate of return on projects operated during her tenure.

“At age six, I was walking jobsites with my dad who was also a real estate developer, collecting scraps of tile, wood and other materials to create my own pretend buildings. Looking back, I never would have thought that 26 years later I would be accepting this award for standing out as a leader in this exciting industry,” said Lindsay Colbert, Chief Operating Officer of Presidium. “Whether it’s putting in place a new process that helps our team members, or working on a physical renovation to improve a community for our community members—I love what I do on a daily basis.”

Since earning the title of COO in 2016, Colbert has been in charge of improving operations as well as building a supportive culture at the company, which has been recognized as a “Top Management Company” by Apartment Ratings/ Satisfacts, among the “Fastest Growing Companies” by Inc. 5000, the “National Best Places to Work in Multifamily®” and the “Best Places to Work in Multifamily® for Women” by Multifamily Leadership.
“Lindsay’s fresh perspective and ‘go-getter’ approach to fuel growth and spearhead Presidium’s growing portfolio make her stand out as both a leader and industry disruptor in this competitive industry. We are fortunate to have her on our team,” added Griggs.

The Dallas Business Journal’s 2021 40 Under 40 honorees, who were selected from a pool of more than 400 nominees, are leaders in various companies spanning from some of the largest and most notable companies in DFW to smaller nonprofits or firms. Each honoree represents companies from a variety of sizes and stages, a reflection of the diversity of industry and entrepreneurship that comprises North Texas’ business ecosystem.
