The real estate investment and management firm welcomes experienced industry leader to oversee the company’s development projects

January 30, 2019 – Presidium, a diversified real estate investment and management firm, has named industry leader Mark T. Farrell as President of Development. In this new role, Farrell will oversee all aspects of Presidium’s development team and robust pipeline. Presidium is currently developing over 1,100 units with plans to break ground on another 1,700 units in the next 12 months.

“Mark’s extensive knowledge and experience in real estate investments makes him a huge asset to our team. He brings a unique vision of the industry that will help expand on Presidium’s diverse experience and knowledge base,” said John Griggs, Co-CEO and Co-Founder of Presidium.

Prior to joining Presidium, Farrell founded Florida-based Killashee Investments, a full-service commercial and multifamily real estate advisory company that was recognized by the Jacksonville Business Journal as one of North Florida’s ten fastest growing companies. In 2018, Killashee ranked 9th on Jacksonville Business Journal’s list of top commercial real estate brokerages based on value of commercial transactions in 2017 with over $110 million.

“We came to know Mark through our partnership on the development of JTB Apartments, a highly-successful luxury apartment community in Jacksonville, Florida. We are excited for him to bring his expertise to our Texas developments,” said Griggs.

Mark has 36 years of industry experience, 17 years of which he worked for The Vestcor Companies. During his 17 years as President and CEO of The Vestcor Companies, the firm developed over 7,000 apartments and acquired and renovated over 3,000 apartments. Farrell graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor of Accounting degree, where he then became a certified public accountant (CPA).

In addition to being a licensed real estate broker, Farrell has also served on numerous boards in the community, including St. John’s Economic Development Council, President of the Ponte Vedra Rotary Club, Downtown Vision Inc., The Otis Smith Foundation, Palmer Catholic Academy and The Florida Theatre.
