McKinney family receives a home through community giving
Addison, Texas, November 14, 2014 – KWA Construction, a leading general contractor specializing in multifamily developments, has partnered with GroundFloor Development to sponsor a Habitat for Humanity home building project. KWA’s donation includes lumber and additional materials for the McKinney residence, which will be dedicated to the Maxwell-Castillo family right in time for the holidays.
“Our eyes have been opened to the generous culture of Habitat for Humanity, its partners and its volunteers. Through this sponsorship, we were able to positively impact this family’s life,” said Brian Webster, Vice President at KWA Construction. “We look forward to building on this relationship and to spreading the word about NCC Habitat’s mission and vision for North Texas communities.”
Additional sponsors for the project include five local Methodist churches, five area businesses and two city organizations. As a result of these partnerships and the sweat-equity hours of volunteers, North Collin County (NCC) Habitat for Humanity will dedicate the home to Calvin Maxwell, Bianca Castillo and their family. The NCC Habitat for Humanity has been empowering families to achieve homeownership and enabling sponsors to aid in those family’s home building since 1992.
