Uptown Players presents regional premiere of “Hello Again”

DALLAS, September 24, 2012 – Uptown Players closes its 2012 season with the regional premiere of the adult musical, Hello Again, at the Kalita Humphreys Theater from October 5 through October 21, 2012.

A musical by Michael John LaChuisa, Hello Again is an adult musical fantasy suggested by Arthur Schnitzler’s La Ronde. Ten nameless characters pair up in 10 different scenes of sexual pleasure and/or despair. Hello Again crisscrosses beds and jumps from decade-to-decade, intimately examining the painful secrets that drive characters into each other’s arms and towards the bruising effects of reckless passion. With a score that saturates the mind, Hello Again is a haunting and sensual tale culminating in the moody recognition of love’s inescapable pull.

The cast includes Linda Leonard, John Campione, Laura Lites, Adam Garst, Beth Albright, Mark Hawkins, Peter DiCesare, Chad Peterson, Stephanie Riggs, Shane Peterman and Aaron White. The musical is under the direction of John de los Santos, with music direction by Adam C. Wright.

Hello Again runs October 5 through October 21, 2012, with performances Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. (no performance October 7). A special Thursday night performance will take place on October 18 at 8 p.m. Performances take place at the Kalita Humphreys Theater, 3636 Turtle Creek Blvd. at Blackburn, Dallas, TX 75219. Tickets are $30 – $40 and can be purchased online at www.uptownplayers.org or by phone at 214-219-2718.  Because of its content, this musical is intended for mature audiences only.
