December 1, 2010 – Daltile, the largest U.S. manufacturer and distributor of ceramic tile and natural stone, has unveiled one of its largest, most stylish product launches ever with five new collections – Franciscan Slate, Coastal Keystones, Terrace, Ion Metals and Gallian Park. The tile brand has also extended of its popular Stone Radiance line to include three new color blends.
“From the natural beauty of slate and the cool luxury of glass to the familiar warmth of hardwoods and the sophisticated elegance of metal, these new collections feature many of today’s fashionable looks,” said Lori Kirk-Rolley, senior marketing director for Daltile. “We’re particularly excited about the Franciscan Slate collection, which features one of the most realistic stone visuals available on a tile surface through Daltile’s patented Reveal Imaging digital printing process.”
Additionally, the Franciscan Slate and Coastal Keystones collections are made in America with recycled materials, allowing them to help projects achieve points in green building certification programs, such as LEED.
NEW PRODUCT INTRODUCTIONS:
Franciscan Slate – Glazed porcelain
Franciscan Slate is a glazed porcelain collection that emulates the beauty of natural slate. Made in America with recycled materials, Franciscan Slate features four earthy colors (Desert Crema, Woodland Verde, Terrain Marrone and Coastal Azul) with high color and texture variation, and through Daltile’s Reveal Imaging, it possesses one of the most realistic natural stone visuals possible on a tile surface. Additionally, Franciscan Slate includes Microban antimicrobial protection to help keep the tile cleaner between cleanings.
The collection is available in two field tile sizes (18”x 18” and 12”x 12”) and a 3”x 3” mesh-mounted mosaic, as well as bullnose and cove base trim pieces. Additional linear and rectangular sizes are available through Linear Options, Daltile’s linear cutting service.
Franciscan Slate was designed to coordinate with decorative accents from many Daltile collections, including Brancacci, Brixton, Cristallo Glass and Massalia.
Franciscan Slate is appropriate for all residential applications, including floors, walls, countertops, exterior patios and exterior pool decks, and most commercial applications (excluding pool decking and exterior flooring).
Coastal Keystones – ColorBody porcelain with glass by Oceanside
Coastal Keystones pairs ColorBody porcelain mosaic tile with clear and iridescent glass tiles by Oceanside in a magnificent range of sizes and hues for a modern, luxurious look. The collection is an addition to the popular “Keystones” product offering, and its six sophisticated color blends (Coconut Beach, Tradewind, Caribbean Palm, Tropical Thunder, Sunset Cove and Treasure Island) are available in four mesh-mounted sizes – 1”x 1” mosaic, 2”x 1” straight-joint mosaic, 2”x 1” brick-joint mosaic and a block-random mosaic that combines 2”x 2”, 2”x 1” and 1”x 1” sizes. Additionally, each block-random mosaic sheet may be cut into three 4”x 12” accent borders.
Coastal Keystones is American-made with post-consumer recycled materials.
Coastal Keystones are appropriate for floors, walls/backsplashes, countertops and exterior patios in residential settings and walls/backsplashes and pool linings in commercial settings, as well as limited floor applications in light commercial settings.
Terrace – ColorBody porcelain
Blending the realistic look of hardwoods with the extreme durability of ColorBody porcelain, the Terrace collection gives the warmth of wood floors a contemporary twist. Terrace is available in a fashionable plank size (6” x 36”) and six varied, natural colors: Bianco, Hickory, Gold, Walnut, Cherry and Espresso.
Terrace is appropriate for all residential and commercial applications, except exterior pool decks and commercial exterior floors, when proper installation methods are followed.
Ion Metals – Metallic wall tile
Emulating the sophisticated look of metal, Ion Metals wall tiles add elegance to both rustic and modern designs. The collection is available in three metallic colors (Antique Bronze, Antique Nickel and Oil-Rubbed Bronze) and a variety of sizes, including a 4 ¼” x 4 ¼” field tile, a 4 ¼” x 4 ¼” rope deco and a 2”x 2” rope accent. Additional decorative pieces include a 1 ½” x 6” chair rail; 1” x 6” and ½” x 6” rope liners; and 1” x 6” and ½” x 6” liners.
Ion Metals is appropriate for interior walls and backsplashes in residential and commercial settings.
Gallian Park – Glazed ceramic floor & wall tile
Gallian Park glazed ceramic floor and wall tile brings a warm, elegant look of natural stone to any home. The collection is available two field tile sizes (18” x 18” and 13” x 13”), as well a 10” x 13” wall tile, all of which are offered in three versatile colors (Crema, Canvas and Desert). A 3” x 3” mesh-mounted mosaic blend, a 3” x 13” universal floor border and a 3” x 10” ivy-scrolled decorative accent (available in each color) complete the Gallian Park collection.
Gallian Park is appropriate for floors, walls and countertops in residential settings, and walls/backsplashes, countertops and pool linings in commercial settings.
Stone Radiance – Stone and glass blends (Line Extension)
Three new color blends have been added to Daltile’s popular Stone Radiance mosaic tile collection: Caramel Travertino blend, Butternut Emperador blend and Glacier Gray Marble blend. These new blends expand the collection’s color palette to eight earthy blends that mix natural stone with glass tiles in two mesh-mounted size options: 5/8” x 5/8” mosaic and random linear mosaic sizes.
