Call for entries for 36th annual Ken Roberts Memorial Delineation Competition

The longest-running architectural delineation competition currently in operation anywhere in the world is now open for entries

DALLAS, October 4, 2010 – The American Institute of Architects’ Dallas chapter (AIA Dallas) is calling for entries for the 36th annual Ken Roberts Memorial Delineation Competition, the longest-running architectural delineation competition currently in operation anywhere in the world. The competition is open to all architecture students, professionals and architectural illustrators throughout the United States, as well as abroad.

Ken Roberts Memorial Delineation Competition is named after the talented Ken Roberts, who produced numerous immaculate ink perspective drawings in the early 1970s. In 1973, Roberts was assigned the task of organizing the very first delineation event. Not long after the first successful competition, Roberts passed away at the age of 34. The AIA Dallas Executive committee promptly renamed the annual delineation event in honor of a great architect.

Entry deadline is Friday, October 22, 2010, at 5 p.m. CST. Entries may be submitted online or delivered to the AIA Dallas office at 1909 Woodall Rogers Freeway. The awards presentation is scheduled for Wednesday, November 3, 2010, at 7 p.m. in Horchow Auditorium at the Dallas Museum of Art.
