Turner Construction donates $250,000 to Earthquake Relief efforts in Haiti

 

Funds to benefit the American Red Cross, Doctors Without Boarders and Save the Children

 

DALLAS, February 2, 2010 – Turner Construction Company, the nation’s largest general builder, has made a $250,000 monetary donation to aid the earthquake relief efforts underway in Haiti. The recipients of Turner’s donation are The American Red Cross, Haiti Relief and Development Fund; Doctors Without Boarders, Haiti Earthquake Relief; and Save the Children, Haiti Earthquake Children in Emergency Fund.

“We have all been moved by the impact of the devastating earthquake in Haiti and the need to provide immediate as well as long-term assistance. Therefore, Turner has made these contributions to support the organizations that are providing much needed support to the people of Haiti,” said Matt Papenfus, vice president and general manager of Turner Construction Company’s Texas Division.
